1. I've read a bunch of threads on 12" cathode tubes and I'm gonna buy a set from ebuyer. Arc mentioned that he uses a 12v regulator in line to his lights - where do you get these from?

2. I've seen el wire/glow wire/ neon wire on ebay. Anyone used it? I'm wondering about putting it round the dash, as I can't be bothered to change the lights/film behind the clocks. My previous car (p.o.c. ford sierra) had blue leds installed round the dash to shine on the clocks - they looked great and totally took away the orange backlight.

3. What colour do the 12" red cathode tubes shine? I'm wondering about using lighting filter gel "borrowed" from work to make sure they are red enough.

cheers,

thom...

brickfoot put neon string round the dials, i didnt really like the look. i dont really like neon string, too dull and all the stuff ive had the invertors make high pitch noises all the time.

the regulator i got from maplin. its just one of them multi switchy voltage adaptors you can buy for running CD players and stuff in a car. I just cut the plugs off and wired it into the loom
