Im going to do an oil change and filter change just ordered the bits

I was wondering what would be the best grade and type of oil I should use and quantities, would the magnetek range be any good

15w 40 semi synthetic IIRC is ideal grade for 1108 SPI cinq and seis

Thanks for the info on another note what would be the best gasket sealer to get ive got one the Blue XS Advanced RTV Silicone Instant Gasket.
Is this good enough for the sub and to seal rocket cover

Nah was thinking of just sealing it, where can I get one from just to make sure its the cover over the chain on the left of the sump ?

Sorry mixed up my parts :bang: yeah its a new seal what part is the cover called thats over the chain sorry to act dumb but i cant find my haynes manual

sumps on the bottom off the engine,rocker cover is on the top.timing belt is to the left(from the front)which part are you talking about?

do you mean cam? then its the rocker or cam cover

Sorry its the rocker cover seal that neads sealing ive got a new seal and I was wondering about the timing belt cover I heard this hard to remove? so I was thinking of trying to seal it as best as possible.

the timing belt does not need sealed,its just a safety cover over the belt.
