hey all im having probs with my horn, in the fact it don't work...

was at Guildford cruise the other night and ewnt to beep my horn in the maxican horn beeping wave but it made to naff beeps then stopped, and now doesnt work :(

- i checked all the fuses - fine
- i changed the horn to another 'a-woooga' one i have fitted - not working
- then i tried agin for luck and it made a small beep, but then died again quickly
- also i can hear the relay making its clicking sound so i know power is getting to that, but then what?

any help guys? rather anoying having no horn :(

nah i dont have a voltage tester handy, plenty of LEDs hanging around if i could test with them somehow...??

think its time to finnally invest in a tester, any excuse to go to Maplins :D

i have the same problem with mine, i cleaned up the connection at the horn end and it works but is still hit and miss

a new horn looks likely, i have heard the punto one fits without modification and gets rid of the noddy car sound

horn is simple + & - connections.all you need to do is add a second connection for the 2nd horn or just join the 2 + and the 2 - together.then connect to the standard wires :)

also you may consider re locating the horn to the engine bay as in the turbo's.easier access and away from spray etc

Had this on my Cinq a few times, connections get corroded from the position plus the horn was passed it's best, got a horn from a MK2 Punto and cleaned the connections with sand paper, never needed to touch it since.
