AAARRRGGGHH can anyone help me... Ive posted an earlia post about idle problems, but its getting worse and that post has gone dry like an old nun.....

I really need help with whats wrong with my car.. I have since replaced ECU, map sensor and vacuum hose, the two plastic parts opposite the excellerator cable on the tb, i think they are the idle stepper and the throttle sensor type thing (their held in with star screws)... nothing works....

The problem---

The car idle goes up and down, from approx 900rpm - 2000rpm like a constant yo-yo... it will sometimes rev up to 6000rpm on idle. It does this when warm and cold. The only time it doesnt rev like mad is when i leave the vacuum hose disconnected.. any ideas why? is it safe to leave it disconnected? mainly.. how can i fix it lol...
please help, im guna scream if i cant get it sorted.....

The car - Standard 1ltr cinqy with no mods and a squeaky drive belt lol

infact is there anyone with a picture or diagram of the tb pipes? i had that thought that they were connected wrongly, but would like a picture before i tinker them around... dont want to do any damage to the engine.

Finally got a link to a picture of my tb. Are my tubes/pipes connected correctly? - also, it was mentioned above that my irratic idle could be due to air being able to get into the engine due to a possible leaky gasket, but why does the engine stop idle'ing irratically when i have the vacuum hose disconnected?

Sooooo can anyone tell me if the pipes on the tb are in the right place, mainly the vaccum pipe. Also would it be dangerous to the engine if i drove around with it disconnected?

If the vac pipe isnt connected it will idle at about 6000rpm, theres no vacuum in the inlet manifold....

Its very dangerous Id think yes as it also means youre operating the brakes with no servo assistance, and that means its harder to stop.

Id check the vac pipe is sealing alright
