Hi, I was thinking about putting some flexi-hose or something in my front bumper behind the mesh somewhere on the right hand side and lead it up through the engine to my K&N, I understand that rain might be able to get up the hose, what are the advantages or disadvantages of placing it there?

rain isnt really a problem as long as you dont have the feed pipe right ont the filter.
what you need to be careful of is if you say hit a big puddle and a large amount of water is forced up the pipe through the filter.
this is where engine damage can occur as water in the cylinders will not compress like air and bends conrods etc!

have you thought about opening the blanked of ornamental gasket hole on the passengers side and having it behind there?

Well I didnt know where abouts I was going to put it on the passeneger side. But you advise where the ornamental gasket would go on that side as the best place?

well im not saying its the best but its right at the front but a decent height off the road.
perhaps you could go further and build a brake air duct in that side to increase air flow speed

need to rig something similar for mine

something like this,as it has a wider opening then the larger amount of air hitting the smaller pipe opening will move faster(one of the techys will explain better)

Did u notice much difference after putting in the air feed?

erm, yes - no.. maybe. I can't remeber. Looks good though eh
