you came in that thing...your'e braver than i thought

175/50 13 tyres, Eibach front anti roll bar, lowered 60mm - handles prety neutral in fast sweeping bends. Still understeers at low speeds around roundabouts etc. though.

If you want it to go very sideways, fit Continental tyres on the front and BF Goodrich on the back.

And an incontinence pad to the driver's seat.

(Can you guess I've now got me contis on the back:I)

Got me P600s on the front, and Nangkangs on the rear. And I also bled the brakes and fitted brandnew shoes and springs to the rear... and a new handbrake cable...:D[8D]

The results are alternately hilarious (6am this morning, PROPER ice everywhere crap handbrake turns result inspinning it twice before I even left the estate :p[}:)] and frightening (the pirellis go exactly where you want in the wet, but let go of the throttle and the Nangkangs try and take the lead!)B)

What lowering springs have you got to get -60mm?

Mine understeers at high speeds not low speeds, but don't all cars? :D

Got Nangkang on the front and P600s on the back. The car is lowered 40mm and strut brace. The front feels real stable but the back is quite twitchy. Lift off oversteer is available on dry roundabouts if i push it [:0]
No understeer whatsover though :D

Was the wife's but its mine now!!
Lowered 40mm: Its a go-kart!!!

Far as I know, it was bought as an 1108 and given the 108bhp turbo conversion by a total enthusiast and Clubcento member called John Sullivan, who really looked after the car for many years. Had a questionable engine rebuild by a cowboy outfit, and subsequently suffered engine failure due to hole piston. Was bought in said condition by Steve Wright, who fitted a 1242 engine fully intending to use it as his own, but due to a change of circumstances then needed to sell it on.

Personally, I love the way the little bugger will pull easily round to 110 on the flat, embarrasing many a bigger car (and ego!)
Seen 121 down hill with a favourable wind:I

I get hidious understeer on rounabouts, hard corners and even swerving around corners at very low speeds. In the dry its alot better, but just doing 25 around a dry rounabout is truely awful.

Probably my fault for driving like a typical Essex boy :D

Another day...another problem...
