Hi,
I knew it was to good to be true, I took the head of my cinq today and everything went ok until I realeased the head bolts. The one in the middle on the exhaust side had already sheared flush with the block.
I suspect that this had been done on the last rebuild by the previous owner or by a ham fisted mechanic!
Has anyone got a spare one that they dont need and what is the best way to get the broken one out.
Any help appreciated

I am not a great fan of easy outs as they often snap and they are then even harder to get out, and literally harder to drill.

The act of inserting them also splays the bolt out making it tighter in its hole.

If it wont come out with a punch and hammer, get the local mobile welder to weld a nut onto it.

Cheers

D
