Alloah all, just wonderin bout my dash, the left hand electric window light is dead and so is the clock backlight? Are these common probs? Is it a case of whippin out the dash wif allen keys and changin the bulbs? Im thinkin of sprayin the dash yellow ( The dial surrounding section) The lighting is green...is this the bulbs? Or is the plastic coloured transparent green so it lets light thru? Ta, Grim

Ive been looking at the dash- its a coloured bit of perspex. and the bulbs are also behing turquoise filters

I'd assume that the filters can be cut off, and the light perspex can be solved by putting in some clear stuff

The dials are lit with clear bulbs through coloured plastic sheet.

Clock is lit with a clear bulb through green transparent sheet - you can change this easy enough.

Switches (on top dash) are lit with green coloured led's.

Window switches are lit with clear bulbs with little green condoms on.

Window switches? Since when have they lit up? Mine certainly never have done! Also i have no light behind the thing you slide along to select where you want the air to go, just above the temperature select slide switch. Is that meant to light up?

Also, on the switch illumination colour debate, can the switches be made to go from being green to blue/red/whatever?

yes, just change the led's. All the things you mention should light up.

Mckrob, for s**tty little bulbs- goto halfrauds. its as good a place as any for those- they dont do them in bulbholders tho- yu'll have to pull the old bulbs out!!

got mine pure blue i can provide patterns of my modded clocks and heater panels it took me an evening with coffe a sharp blade a computer, scanner, printer, paitience and the replacement LEDs i could emal you the patterns if ur interested with the way i did it if it helps
