Hi all,
I fitted my new (and great) 40mm throttle body a few weeks back and have been enjoying the new lease of life. Then this afternoon the car started making a strange noise and began vibrating between 1 and 2 thousand revs. A quick look under the bonnet confirmed it, the head gasket has blown. My crank case filter looked like it had been dipped in custard, not good.
Does anybody out there have any handy hints on changing the gasket that would be of use?
Also, as the head gaskit is a known weak link on this engine, can we use the head gaskit from a punto 75 engine. If it's rated to 75bhp and the Cinq is only 54, wouldn't the Punto gasket be the better option. As I understand it the punto is just a slightly longer stroke verision of the Cinq engine and should fit?
Cheers all, any help would be appreciated.
