Seicento key, can it be copied?

I have seen adverts for key cutters who can cut a key and using the old one program it as well. I have a 2001 seicento mpi (non red key version), can I get an extra key cut, or is there anyway around it?

The MPI have all the immobiliser codes within them so you cant go into timpsons etc and get a key cut.

I would imagine you could get a new one at fiat but they will probably charge quite a bit fot this.

You should have 2 blue keys with the car, if not i would try and get hold of the last owners to see if they know where the other is.

timpsons may be able to code a key for you - they did cut and coded a cinq one for me

the sei has a different imobillser system than the cinq so best to go ask them, or wait for a proper reply

Re: Seicento key, can it be copied?

Fiat say £35 for the key then £15 for the coding

Not as bad as I first thought but still!
