Some time ago I put a thread on here regarding my car getting hot and the fan not coming on. Tried to change the fuse but the new ones kept melting!! Anyway know now that I will need a new fan motor (can get one second hand approx £20) but wondered if these are difficult to fit. I ask because I have just had a new clutch fitted and the labour cost was £120 before vat and the final bill £249!!!

It's not difficult I changed the RAD on my 899cc Cinq and the procedure requires the fan to be swopped over. I've not had a look yet but you might be able to do this without removing the RAD.

Howie....

I'm probably being a bit 'girly' now but would I need any special tools other than a socket set, screwdriver etc? Or should I leave it to someone else to do?!!
