Hello!

A few weeks ago, I bought a real nice cute Cinqo from '96. In this period, there's just one point that I like to change; the wipers. I'm not satisfied how the wipers are controlled, only one interval and one normal on.
So I searched on the Internet and find a scheme to make the pulses, needed to control the motor of the wipes. The rearwipes aren't a real problem to find thoso wires, but how is it with the front wipers?
And, in the back I saw 3 cables coming from the motor, can someone explain to me wherefore these three are?

Welcome to the forum.

Rear wiper has three wires, permanent live, comes on with ignition - earth - and switched live from the rear wiper switch.

Front wipers have a delay timer, what you could do is tap into this and alter the interval, if you can find the relay!

biggest thing: i really dont like the ashtray type thing (plus i dont smoke) so will find a way of getting rid of that sooner or later []

yeah got to agree on both counts but especialy the ashtray it just dominates the dash

Do what i did! Replace the cigarette lighter with a starter switch and use the ashtray to hold your AA/RAC breakdown card and loose change! Bonus that when the ashtray is closed, it hides the starter button! Check out my website pics for details

Or just rip the damn thing off, throw it on the floor, and burn it whilst dancing around it voodoo style. One day i WILL do that to my Cinq, which has just developed yet another problem *sigh*
To think i was tempted to keep it over a new car...

I must admit one of the best things about my cinq was that huuuuage ash-tray! Perfect for holding shoot loads of change and even credit cards! Still couldn't make up for the fact that the darn thing was crap unfortunately B)
