Anyone know what the cam bearing caps should torqued to? Haynes has given me 2 values to pick from, one being double the other - i'm tempted to go for 10Nm - that *sounds* correct to me. But i wanna be sure

is it not 1 setting for the 13mm (head) bolts and the lesser one for the 2 10mm (head) bolts at the coils end?

all the bolts are the same

the last one has 4 bolts am sure 2 of each

Dave's right, the long bolts are higher torque and the 2 shorter ones on the coil end cap are the lower.

I've just taken the 1108 to bits, and see what you mean about the 4 bolts.

so theres 2 near timing end, 2 in the middle, 2 at the coil that are under the cam cover, and then 2 that are not.

So they're all the higher torque (17Nm i think) and the others that are outside the cam cover are 10Nm ?

but i no use a torque wrench on them, i do tight and a bit

i dunno if the nm is right but it be the tighter one for the bigger bolts innit

35 sounds way much

20Nm for the six cam cap bolts.
10Nm for the two coil bracket seal screws.
