Hi everyone!

I have just changed the radiator in my 899cc cinquecento (bought on ebay, aluminium one) because the old one was leaking. The car runs fine but the temperature is now very low. On the motorway, it is just above 50, around 70 absolute max in the city traffic or at the traffic lights but it drops as soon as I start driving at more than 30mph. I am just wondering if this is normal, the cooling seems to be so good that the heating isn't hot enough these days.
With the old rad, the car overheated a bit a traffic lights (the fan quickly started). What is your opinion??

i had this problem and i second the thermostate thing sorted my problem

I used to run just a thermostat housing without a thermostat in it on my 899 in the summer, helped the temperatures, and in the winter replace the housing with a complete thermostat in it. Yes it was alot of messing around but it stopped it eating head gaskets.

I noticed since I changed my rad to an aluminium one that the fan hardly comes on anymore.

I don't have a temperature gauge in my car but it obviously is a good improvement.
