Hi all.
My 53 plate Seicento has failed the MOT on rusty subframe. It looks fairly easy to replace the whole rear axle assembly but does anybody in then Midlands have one going spare for a reasonable/Cheap price? Many thanks in anticipation.

Just be careful that if the subframe is that rotten that there is most likely going to be chassis rail rot under it. Probably worth taking it off first to see whether it is worth going any further.

Mine had rot on the rails... aboot 10cm on each side, although luckily the "L" bracket inside the rails that the subframe bolts to were sound, so I just had to weld new metal onto the bottom of the rail, with an appropriate sized hole in it, to line up with the bracket, for the bolt. Came out reasonably well.

But that work also uncovered a bit of fraying around the wheel arches and inner sills, so a "2 weekends" job took me almost a year to complete.. The missus was so impressed.. :D
