You need to use the Cento crank position sensor, Cento oil pressure switch complete with long hollow bolt and 90' elbow.

Using the cento tdc sensor is fine, mine still works - but the oil pressure sensor does not. I smashed it a bit when i was replacing the rad a while ago.

I went to the scrappy and took one off a mk1 Sei sporting, and it looks the same as a punto one. No 90degree bend in it. I also have a sensor of Sie's yellow cinq, which although has the connector a bit smashed - still no bend in it.

Did they change something, or am i going mad?

The switch screws into a 90' bend. It's a clearance thing, on the cinq it'll be a bit close without when the n-gin moves about.

There's more clearance under the Punto bonnet, not sure about the Sei though.

makes sense now
I've not had a good look around there on the cento engine, all i remeber is there isn't much space!

cheers Pete :)

edit: what about the TDC sensor - is it a different sensor, or again mounted slightly differently?

Use the Cento TDC sensor, but only for the fact that it has a long enough lead to reach over the top of the cam belt cover and back down to the connector. Punto one is otherwise identical and will work on the Cento with a bit of re-routing.
