Hello everyone.

I was wondering if anyone could provide me with the following info:

I see that a brand new Cinquecento 900cc (model 91 or 92) has a fuel consumtion of 5.9 lt/100km

How much could it be a typical consumtion in a car with 200.000km ?
10% more? 20%? Any ideas?

thank you in advance

Hi :)
What is the condition of the car?

Old tyres could lose 10%

Rubbing brakes could lose 30%

Does the engine use oil..or water??

Even the fuel will be diffetent from 30 years ago ;)

yes I undestand, I am not familiar with the car's condition (its not excellent), but the case is that a cooperate is requesting me to pay his fuel for a job and claims a 14 lt / 100 km consumtion which seems outrageous. (I own a 147 1.6TS and with a heavy foot I do not exceed 10lt/100km in traffic conditions)

Mileage expenses don't just relate to fuel use.
ie in the UK, the accepted mileage rate is 45p/mile.

I kept a record of all my MPG inc L of fuel used & mileage.
The worst I have recorded for my 899 Cinq was 21MPG, which was 130 miles using 27.86L of 99RON at a cost of £33.40.
If I'd claimed that 130 miles as expenses, I'd have charged £58.50

I have a 1994 Cinq, 899cc that's at 85k miles on the clock.
It's my daily driver and as you can see my average is currently 52mpg (or 5.4 lt/100km)

I mainly use E5 unleaded (living on an island, my choices of fuel are limited) and I tend to aim for 58mph, whereas I'm sure half of the drivers on Fuelly just put pedal to the metal!
