Hi there,

does somebody know if
is were to turbo a 1242cc 75hp mpi motor,
if the original injectors would flow enough
fuel?

Or would i need to get bigger injectors?

I understand that the original computer
can't work in such a setup,
so a would use piggyback system like the det3

kind regards,

Dimitri

No they won't flow enough for any reasonable level of boost. As for the ECU, technically it is possible to run the stock ECU (with very good results), but you would need to talk to me about it and I do not have the time. Check out my old turbo thread in my signature.

What is a reasonable level of boost? I was thinking on building a low boost engine so anything between 0.3 and 0.6 bar would be super. Also what power is to be expected from a lowboost 1242 motor? Anything above 100 hp would be fine for me. I'm just looking to build a motor that gives everything before 5000 rpm's, not having to revit al the way up to 6500 rpm's like the standard 1100 now, that only seems to come alive past 4500 rpm.

thanks,
Dimitri
