Any idea what the actual differences are between sporting and non sporting rear bumpstops?

I can’t see a difference from the various images.. other than some minor variation in the shape. I suspect the Sporting has a bigger diameter spring cushion so the plastic base of the bump stop may be marginally bigger, to fit inside it.

Or the length might be different. Some look like eggs, others look like a pineapple... although some of the aftermarket bump stops still list as replacements for both part numbers... I’ve bought some at random that look similar to the OE ones. One way or another I’ll make them fit.

I have no data as to what the difference is, but I expect the Sporting ones are shorter and probably firmer as a result.

Done properly, the bump stops are an integral part of the suspension, not just a last resort effort to prevent sudden bottoming out.

I may be thinking too much... and: ??? ?
?
