Hi Guys.

I don't currently own a Seicento although I did 10 years ago (2tone)! I'm after a runaround now and have found a Seicento for sale. 60k miles and seems a
very genuine sale but It has a few advisories and I just wanted to ask about them.

1) Offside & Nearside Front Brake hose slight deteriorated.

2) Nearside rear service brake binding.

I intend to fix them myself, are the brake hoses cheap and readily available for the Seicento? Not done brake hoses before.

With the brake bind, I'm presuming that's a drum on the rear? If so, what's the likely cause?

Any advice appreciated.

About £15 each for brake hoses. If everything comes undone, should be a straight forward job. Just make sure the brakes are bleed properly afterwards.

Rear brakes could be lots of things. Sometimes just a strip and clean is all that is needed. Could also be the brake shoe material breaking up or some excessive corrosion built up.
Pop the drum off and take a look.
Worst case you will need to replace parts. You can refurb both rears drum assemblies for about £50 total if nothing major has broken.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply, much appreciated :)
