Actually used the cinquecento today for a change and a stone flicked up and made a hole in my headlight :(

Had a look online and it's more of a minefield than expected. Lots of lhd lights, but my main question was relating to the different colour rear casings?

Mine are black, but some are white. What is the difference between the 2?
Is there anything else I need to watch out for with replacement headlamps?

Does anyone have any suggestions on the best place to get them from? I don't want to Pay a fortune.

Thanks
Duncan

Anyone? I contacted eurocarparts as they have the white casing version on eBay. They reckon it won't fit my car?
I'm sure it would, but don't want to buy it if it doesn't for whatever reason.

Finding a drivers side light that isn't for a lhd car seems harder than expected? Tons of passenger side lights about.

hi,i can confirm the lights:)

the lights with the white/light grey surround behind the glass is for s and sx models

the lights with the black surround behind the glass is sporting models

from what ive seen the mirror finish on the sporting reflectors seems to last better than the white surrounded lights.

ive done it a few times, not ideal but ive split the glass from the main light and put a good glass on a good back reflector. works if well cleaned and proper 2 pack glues used.

yes its hard to get rhd lights of any kind(n)

sporting lights very rare, normally new old stock pop up.

hope this helps. last set i got were white surrounds ones from a maker called depo, that was 6yrs ago and they were 76euros each, not cheap back then, but a bargain now;)

seicentos dont seem to have the same headlight problems as the cinq's had,as in the reflector loosing its shine and going brown as it fades off.

happy hunting

sorry forgot to mention, they are the same light, but some had adjustment within the car for luggage and people, extra weight would raise the front of car.

ive seen standard adjustment at light, motorised adjustment in cabin and a liquid filled adjustment system..

all lights are interchangable,so im sure something could be worked out.

Thanks for the info.

Tbh, the rest of the light is pretty knackered anyway. The adjuster is completely shot internally and held together with silicone. The slots for the indicators are also snapped.

Have messaged jim in Watford off ebay to see of he has anything. If not I will just go with a white backed version as a decent working light is the most important thing.

Thanks for your help

gave up looking for a black drivers side light.

Bought a set of white housing type from eurocarparts. Brand is dj-auto. The quality is so-so, but they will do the trick.
Manual adjustment and fitment is decent.

Would have liked the black ones for originality, but needs must!

You could probably split them and spray black quite easily.
A job for when the weather warms up a bit though!
