Bungs

I've refurbished the rear axle beam on Titch, the Younger Mrs S's Cinquecento.

When I say "refurbished"... the old one had very rusty mounting pans on it that fell out when I poked them with a screwdriver... so a good beam from a breaker's yard did the job... shot blasted and powder coated.

Now I'm after the plastic plugs that fit in the ends. They're about 5cm across, and the part number is #7707404 .

These are no longer available from Fiat UK but my dealer said they still appear in the EU parts doodah, so might still be available abroad.

Is there anyone on the forum who lives in Europa, who can ask their local dealer whether these are really still available?

Ta, Merci, Grazie, Danke, Diolch, Obrigado and Dzięki

Re: Bungs

These are the exact ones (same seller too) that I went for - 63.5 mm OD are the ones OP is after.

Re: Bungs

Sorted then. You beat me too it!!!

I wasn't sure when I refurbed mine so bought both sizes as they were cheap enough.

Thumbs up Re: Bungs

Splendid! These look nicer than the regular ('orrible) Fiat ones too.

I've ordered me a couple of 63mm.

Great help... thanks.

Re: Bungs

Agreed - they look very neat and very stock. You should post a picture of your refurbished beam too.

Re: Bungs

Here's a photo of the old one...

Once I poked out all the crusted-on dirt and rust, there wasn't much left of the mounts. Not sure if it'll polish out..
