Hello Fiat forum,

My name is Lawrence, and I am a new Cinquocento owner ( 0.9L , 1996 year).
I have purchased this car recently and I am starting to enjoy it for what it is. The car is in general good condition, both technically and cosmetically.
I have already acquired the Haynes user manual for it, as well as the Italian manual available here on the forum.

I am usually a DIY type of guy, and I am preaparing for a tune-up and general maintenance of the vehicle.

One thing that puzzles me is the fact that the previous owner told me that the lifters were replaced by the person who had it before him with solid lifters. He could not give me any further information about this conversion.

Now, what I would like to know. is whether this thing is possible and it is known to have been done in the past? Is it possible that the lifters from an older engine (such as the Fiat 600D engine) drop in easily in the Cinquecento 900 engine?

If so, how should I adjust the rocker arms as part of the routine maintenance? At what clearance?

Thanks in advance :)
