Had a oil change on the sei yesterday to keep the service records upto date for when I get ready to sell the car on in the future. When the car was up on the ramps the mech's notice a leak coming from the gear box area. Turned out to be thick oil or something from the drive shaft from the gearbox, on the drivers side.

F.I.A.T - will this require a full replacment of CV Boot and seal? I have been quote £40 +VAt for the replacment seal? Also unsure of the part number for the 2000 Wreg 899cc SPi Sei?

Yes it will require a new boot.Over time the rubber bott hardens and eventually crack open, but on 899 cinqs, this boot holds all the gearbos oil in also.

Great!, boot seems fine, but I might consider ordering this as well to make sure.

Looking at the part cd, I think its part id 46307085 for the CV Boot, and 2 other parts, but I think one is the seal as well. can you guys can confirm that before I go out and order it from Fiat. And roughy, does £50 sound right for someone to do the job.
