Don't know it, but here are some thoughts.

First impression: "Good grief". Its appearance will not be to everyone's taste. Consider if the image you think you are projecting, will be the one others think they are receiving.

Other thoughts.
Is it a Sporting (1108), or a dressed up 900? MOT status check suggests 1108.
Steering wheel looks Seicento, but appears to be without airbag. Beware of airbag still in there, although without an electrical connection, should be benign.
MOT status says it is blue. What little we can see of the doorshuts looks like either a good respray, or perhaps not the original shell, or a clone? Would need careful checking of VIN number against V5.

I think this car illustrates the warning "buyer beware" very well. If you really want a Cinq, there are better ones out there. If you know what you are doing, at its current bid of £105, might be a bargain.

Thanks Bill,

That pretty much reflects my own opinion.

When it was up for sale a month ago, I looked immediately into replacement bonnets (in any colour), and found one inexpensively on eBay also. (£20)

I imagined a scenario, where I turned up to buy the car, with the replacement bonnet under my arm!

In the earlier ad, it was possible to see in the boot, and the vehicle appears to have been Imola blue (as the interior was unpainted).
The engine was also shown, and was a TOTALLY standard 1108, some what bizarrely.

The MOT history indeed reveals it to be actually a very good example, and at 66k, it's quite an opportunity.

But unfortunately- in my mind- those looks, don't usually come hand in hand with sympathetic ownership. It wouldn't take much to imagine the poor thing being red-lined from every traffic light start, back in the day.
Perhaps the engine is a replacement from the original that went pop.
The original ad did say the Rev counter didn't work.

I think if the seller was somewhat more forthcoming with what history tha car has, I'd feel better about it as a starter-project.

Hangon! Ive got the original listing in my watch-list; hopefully it'll copy over and still be visible to you.

Hey D-

do you mean the steering wheel might be correct?

and do you mean it might be one from the last year of Cinq manufacture..?

That appears to be what he said, and it makes sense.
Don't get excited though, there's still lots wrong with it.
Why has the colour change not been notified to DVLA? Could that be a problem?
With money spent making it look the way it does, how little has been spent on proper maintenance?
Head, not heart needs to rule.

Yup. DVLA rules do not allow you to put a late plate on an earlier car, so the oldest that car can be is 1998, which is the end of Cinq Production.

It has Sei column switches/levers and the rear wiper switches in the dash are blanks (as they are now on the stalk).

It is a very late Cinq.

I concur with the above replies - that's just a very late Cinq. I've had one myself - I removed the wheel and fitted a Momo, though.

Shame about the respray - the colour has some kind of appeal, but Imola Blue was always the best colour for a Cinquecento and it would cost a fortune to put right now.

To be fair so long as it is actually legal of course anything much else should be repairable and part of old car ownership.. Nothing comes with cast iron guarantee. However I would prefer the 100hp Panda that came up in the also line... [emoji848]

yeah, the panda 100hp certainly has appeal

I go through phases of looking at them- but I like things that I NEVER see on the road any more- and in that respect, the Cinq wins hands down...
