General Cinquecento to the USA

This sounds amazing just like the kinda thing I'd love to do [emoji41] Out of interest is it easy to sell a fiat or any UK car in USA even if it's right hand drive? Wat happens if by chance u can't sell it? funny enough i was talking to my friend in Canada yesterday about importing and selling UK cars in Toronto as I see a gap in the market and they pay way over the odds for even old honda civics, I was thinking to import my GT over there years ago as I was constantly going over there, just wasn't sure about once u add all the customs shipping costs vat + duty if it would really be worth it. Ahhhh Wen it's 25 years u don't pay a lot of the charges correct? Was reading a little bit about this yesterday. Good job fundraising too [emoji108]
It's around 850 pounds to ship Liverpool to NYC. A ISF is about 100 pound and you usually end up with about 200 quid in dock fees. With the Cinquecento costing 500 that puts me at £1650 so will have to sell for over $2150 dollars to cover the cost of buying the car and getting it over but that's not taking into account the bits and bobs that will need done on the Cinq to make it ready for sale

So today was tyres

There wasn't much available in 145/70 so I went for 155/70

Toyo Nano Energy 3 for 165 quid fitted IMG_20190312_120133.jpeg

was that all-four tyres for 165, Jim?-

or is there a tyre called the Toyo Nano Energy, of which you got 3?

P.S- what would you get mileage-wise out of a full tank on the car?

'13" very very hard to get-'

that's interesting, makes sense, and is at the same time ridiculous, isn't it..?

It very much paints a picture of what you might expect people to be driving over there..

1993 yeah? I had a car which didn't see much use and had tyres on from '98! I took it for them to be examined and they were deemed to be fine (lack of UV exposure) but 'less efficient' than more modern designs...

interesting-

did you get the niggles sorted in time..?

Do they ship cars in a container, with the keys in the ignition? Do they disconnect the battery?

Do you have to go through any kind of examination at the other end..?

Unfortunately we didn't get a Speedo cable in time as they lost the first one
The cars go roll on, roll off
With up to 4000 car on board I think they would leave the keys in the ignition
Again with 4000 cars and each car maybe having a battery is a different place I doubt they would have the time to disconnect any power
The cars are checked by Border and Customs and also by the Department of Agriculture
