Okay, brif desc []

have a problem with my cinq (again), when running the temp reading never budges a mm, even pelting down the motorway,

not only that but when pelting down the motorway with heating on full, the car never seemed to warm up..

anyone got any ideas?

(i've got a new thermostat sitting in the boot just in case its that [])

Possible blockage in the cooling system if the heaters are'nt blowing hot.

Change you thermostat, it seems to be locked on the full opened position... Don't forget your engine doesn't like too much to run always with cold water!!

yeah sounds like thermostat. just did mine, didnt take long, but had to get a new temperature sender too, which was £33 from fiat!

What's a "temperature sender"|)[?]When I replaced the thermostat on my 1.0fire I spent 7€ for it and 6€ for 2litres of coolant

There's 2 temp senders, one for the temp gauge and one for the ecu - gauge one is nice n'cheap, other one is about £33

Where's the water temp NTC sensor located on fire engines[?]

On the cinq Sporting, there's the temp gauge one on the back of the head below the oil filler cap area, and the ecu one is mounted on the underside of the inlet manifold.

my temperature sender was screwed into the thermostat, didnt come off, so i had to get a new one.
my local fiat dealers have been very helpful, [:0] (Alpha and Yapps garage Llanishen, near cardiff)
they didnt av a thermostat when i rang, but got one for me within 2hours, and they were the cheapest around too
