HI - am I the only person in the universe still driving a Cinq Sporting?

Anyway - both my dipped headlights have failed simultaneously - main beams work fine, bulbs and fuses are fine. To my surprise I discover that a 1994 Cinq Sporting should have the Dim-Dip system - news to me, the sidelights have always come on by themselves. Is there a fuse/solenoid/relay that controls both L & R dip filaments simultaneously? I can't make head nor tail of the circuit diagrams in the Hains and Porter manuals.

On the off chance that the Dim-Dip system is to blame -

Where is the Dim-Dip relay, and the fuse, and the resistor? There doesn't seem to be anything attached to the fuse box.

Thanks

Dim dip only worked when sidelights were on and the engine was running. It powered the head lights dip beam throu a resistor so the head lights glow dimly . If the dim dip unit fails,it is only affected on side lights. When you turn head lights on dip or main, they over ride the resistor so getting full 12volts to the bulbs.

Indeed the obvious place, but my fuse box only has fuses 1 to 15 which are all accounted for, three relays, all accounted for, and the flasher relay, all accommodated in a rectangle with no more space.

There are no other fuses/relays - so where, or should be, the dim-dip fuse and relay?

Remove the three wires from the resistor, middle one is 12v live. Measure the resistance from middle pin to each outer pin,and you should have a resistance. If both are open circuit, then the dim dip resistance wires have failed(maybe try to rejoin with solder! )
