Hi all,
My beloved yellow peril has bad corrosion in boot (both sides) and around rear passenger wheel arch. I've been told I need to get new metal welded in boot around wheel arches as damage is near seat belt fixings (would fail MOT if seen, have obviously been very lucky up to now!). But what about rear external wheel arch? Would it be ok to get it redone in fibreglass? Or does it have to be metal? The guy at welders said it was still near the s/belt fixings, so needed metal? A new rear panel from Italy would be circa £200...maybe I could find someone who could cut an arch from an old Sporting? But the bodyshop fibreglass route seems the easiest, if it is OK for MOT. Please help, all advice welcome!
