Hello everyone,

yet another problem with the cinq:

my wife tried refueling the cinq, and she managed to screw up the lock in the fuel cap before any ful got in. This makes refueling impossible! Any tips on how to remove the fuel cap?

well when i had this on a car i ended up using brute force and a screwdriver.
one thing to watch if you do is to avoid dropping part of it into the fllier neck as i did

use a blow torch and melt it off :idea:

uhhm, fuel tank... and... blow torch... equals... kaboom?

Basically what you do when applying excessive force with two screwdrivers is breaking off the two plastic side-pieces. They will off course drop into the fillerneck but luckily they got stuck in there and gently I pulled them out. The lock inside the cap is of no use, so I removed the ends of the "screwthread" on the cap, so I can open and close the cap by hand. Just rotate the cap a quarter turn.
