Technical Klonk Klonk, Shocks anyone?

I have Bilstein 55mm lowering String and Bilstein Gas shocks all new, now my old shocks where destroyed by the lowering springs but now they are on the new Bilstein shocks its brilliant, i assume the bilstein shocks wont be destroyed by the springs as they are new on new !

Anyway I have a funny klonking noise coming from front right it was worse when I had the old shocks in now its not so bad but still there, I am just wondering if anyone else has this same sort of sound?

need to be more specific mate... coming from a particular corner? back wheels? goin over bumps? only when going round corners? wat does it sound like? metal on metal, dull thump....

the more info we have, the easier it is to diagnoise a problem and a cure!

mine klonked all the time until i someone put my spring on properly , was mainly noticeable going over bumps and turning

could the klonking also be it sitting on the bumpstops or hitting them going over bumps

Srry to jump on thread but have similar prob with mine at the moment. It clonks/clinks/creaks with a metallic sound going over speed bumps more than 4mph.
It is most noticable with the window down and appears to come from the back end, any ideas? Pleeease don't say it's the bushes going .

Could be front bushes, track rod end, balljoint or strut top bearing.

Also the anti-roll bar can catch the bottom of the inner wing and arch liner on really low cars. Some 'percussive maintenance' may be required if this is the case.

Shortened Bilstien Shocks or just OE replacement ones?

Clonk could be a burst shocker too.

The noise only happens when I go over a bump its a strange klonk noise, say the word "klonk" and thats what it sounds like

Its no way as bad now as it was with my destroyed shocks but its there every now and then coming from the front right area only. Im getting the feeling its not the shock or anything to do with the suspension at all but something knocking as i hit a bump, like the battery wacking the strut brace kinda thing as I have not bracket to hold the battery down, will stick some rubber between the battery and the strut and see what happens!

The knocking was worse with the nasty shocks because obviously they where not absorbing any shock meaning whatever it is was bouncing about more but now my new shocks are taking the punishment so it doesnt bounce as much, who knows
