Hello,
I'd would like to change the crankshaft oil seal on the timing end, that shows a small leakage of oil ......
searching on this forum, I've found that Fingers 99 give these advices:
"Wise to wrap a single layer of sellotape around any sharp edges of the shaft so you don't nick the (well lubricated) seal when putting it on."*
"Lock the flywheel to avoid to break the faux woodruff key"
So, if I understand: the sellotape goes at the beginning of the shaft, to avoid, when I put on the seal, to damage the lips.....
But... How can I lock the flywheel without to much effort? from beneath, perhaps removing the metal sheet cover, or from above, through the inspection hole??
thanks!
