I have an X reg seicento Abarth SPI and the injector is spitting and I've got rough idle I've checked for air leaks, fuel pressure even changed the injector changed the top half of the throttle body the problem is driving me insane.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

I'd check coil packs are working properly first, then start pulling plugs to check all are firing, also worth running the engine in the dark and looking to see if you can see a spark plug lead arcing.

Also worth checking the vacuum hose to the MAP sensor isn't split and unplugging it to see if it affects anything for better or worse.

If all seems fine on the spark system and the MAP seems to be doing something, then i'd say it's quite possibly the blue coolant temp sensor in the inlet

I've had one fail so badly on an SPI it started spitting fuel out the exhaust even with a perfect spark system.

Spark plugs and leads and the coolant temp sensor are probably the only things I haven't checked, I checked the vac line for the map sensor the other day and it's all good.

I was gonna scope the injector pulse at work tomorrow to make sure the ecu was sending the signal correctly, but I'll definitely look in to what you mentioned

cheers mate
