I've been contemplating whether or not to change out the original speakers... Since I would like to keep an original look, I need something that fits under the original covers.
I despise those boot-filling subwoofers, so that needs to be avoided at all costs.

Any advice on what to buy would be much appreciated.

Any 10cm/4" speaker will do the trick, they all have the same mounting pattern. You may have to chop the standard connector in order to fit spade connectors, but that's easily done.
