hey

im trying to lay the foundations for a mental ice install im gonna run 2 batterys and so first thing i need is an uprated alternator, any ideas what will fit? i epxect a punto sporting alternator would fit wouldnt it? but would it provide much more power?

You can see the current intensity printed on the alternator chassis...by the way don't aspect them to rise 60Ampère;)

Where would you put a second battery, and if you put a big alternator on it would reduce power of the car dematically. Why dont your just install a big capacity in back for ice, for big power bursts, after all you will not have it turned full whack all the time will you. Will You ?????????
 
second battery would go in the boot

why would a bigger alternator reduce the pwoer of the car dramatically??

from the ice forums ive been reading they dont seem to have to good a view of caps to solve the problem
