The clutch cable snapped last week and I decided it was time to change a complete clutch kit. I fitted a LUK complete clutch kit and on starting I had big clutch slipping on the 1st and on the 2nd gear, all the other gears work normally.
The next day I purchased and fitted a VALEO clutch kit and I experienced the same situation.
The clutch cable is also new.
Has anyone ever experienced this situation

I would like to share some information because the after removing the gearbox again and finding everything in place I realized that the only problem could be the gear lever links. In fact the gear lever housing was broken and cracked and was not possible to get the 1st and the 2nd gears on because the housing was moving sideways and not permitting the gears to work properly.
Renewed housing and everything works fine now.
