Hey guys

I've bought a light bar for my 899 sei because it was cheap and I'm impulsive like that but I have next to no idea when it comes to electrickery so basically I'm wanting to know what wires I need to splice into for it to come on with the main beam. I also would like to have it on a separate fuse and be able to switch it off separate to the main bulbs on a switch on the dash so what would be the best way of doing that. Also it's a 306W LED bar so if I turn it on, how long will it be before the car becomes on fire and will I need a bigger battery.

Thanks in advance for feeding my lunacy

It's obviously not attached yet but it gives you a sense of scale and brightness

Did you get a quality one or just some cheap ass eBay one?
I got 180W cheap led light bar on a Cinq and honestly it's not worth it. Cheap LED light bars are too flooded and they make the area in front of you very bright but original high beams show further up on the road. They do light road side up pretty well though.

IMHO it's only good for offroading where you drive slowly.

You are better off getting something from a quality brand.

It is probably illegal too. ;)

Yeah it was a cheap eBay one, at £27 you can't really complain. Tbh I mainly bought it to look funny having a massive light bar on a tiny Fiat. From what I can tell the law doesn't limit brightness of main beam lights as long as they go off when you go to dipped beam so brightness-wise it's perfectly legal but all road lights are meant to be EU reg compliant which this isn't so technically it's illegal but the only way anyone could tell is if they're looking for a little E on the lens and if I get pulled over for it I'll just say I didn't realise and turn it off on the toggle switch. I'm sure it'll be just fiiiine ;)
