Re: Free 1994 Cinq, 900cc ..

Its Italian, they love being thrashed.

No idea what revs they are doing at 70, but they will do much more (on autobahns, of course).

The 1.1 cinq and sei's sit at about 3800/4000 revs at 70ish (ahem), my old 900 must have been higher than that as i had to turn the radio louder .

Re: Free 1994 Cinq, 900cc ..

Thanks for that Alfacool-

I think I know the answer to this one- the 200cc capacity difference may make an enormous difference to the longevity of the motor at sustained higher revs.

Blast- I can't find the final-drive-ratios in the brochure from '97...

Re: Free 1994 Cinq, 900cc ..

Thought I'd start the wee car up last night while I worked away at cleaning it up.

Feckin management light back on after 10 minutes...

Need to get it out and moving to see if its a residue problem.

after 10 minutes?

That's curious.

Do Cinq 900's have data logging in the ECU..?

10 minutes points to Lambda as its not in circuit till its warm, but it could be upstream from there if its getting something it doesn't like.

Re: Free 1994 Cinq, 900cc ..

do you not have the diagnostics cables chap? only a few quid and get IAW Scan (its free!) - thought i was fine without for so many years and tbh 99% of the time I am, but its a super handy tool for stuff like this.

You are a bit far or i'd pop over with mine.

Thanks for the offer. I have the adaptor for OBD1 to OBD2, I'll look at getting IAW on my laptop and the last cable....

Once I've thrashed it!!!

Re: Free 1994 Cinq, 900cc ..

for these i use a fiat 3 pin to OBD adaptor and a vagcom cable.

Have had great success with IAW Scan2 for all but the 18FD ecu (1.2 16v one), just never was able to connect to them for unknown reasons, its meant to me supported but aways failed for me.
