since i,ve fitted my chip and put my janspeed on the car really smells of fumes,i rang janspeed and asked if the complete system is a de-cat exhaust,they said that it does still have a form of cat,for legal running,and i,ve fitted the mkritch chip,which seems to work fine,but i suspect a richer mixture now,has anyone else noticed there car smells rich after fitting a chip??

have you got the oil breather disconencted, are you running std induction still?

check the pipe that runs from the cam cover to the airbox is connected and not split

got standard induction,pipe is fine,its exhaust fumes,smells on your clothes!maybe i need to do a few miles to weaken it,let it adjust??

sure u dont have an exhaust leak somewhere?

no there isn,t a leak,its when i stand behind the car,not when i,am inside,think i,il give it a run this weekend(if it ever stops raining)and see how it goes,must sort the tricker t/b and induction next

so are you keeping it now? could of told me lol. was gona pm and see if you wanted a viewing on 28th, gf gets paid then.
mine does the same, and btw cars are made for driving in the rain, might enjoy the wet surface...

christ knows whats happenning with it!i was promised my works van to use out of work(but get taxed)then they moved the goalposts by saying that i can,t use it at weekends,so i,ve kept the car until i know whats going on,my mates bought something else so no one is lined up,i fitted the chip/janspeed because there not much use off the car,i,il keep you informed,i haven,t forgotten,just i don,t want to be stuck with no transport
