Hello, I have fiat seicento 1.2 8v swap (75) and I have a problem with the fuel consumption. On the full tank I can do around 120 miles which is absolutely crap. I have changed the lambda sensor and I don't think there is a fuel leak as I had a look. Any suggestions?? PLEASE HELP

is this a sudden change..??

does the temp gauge still climb o.k.

lots of things COULD upset MPG,

Well I don't really know because I had gasket changed about 1000 miles ago so I can't really tell.

When I connected the diagnostic computer to the car it was showing me 80/90 degrees so no problems with the temperature.

I can get my 1108 below 100 miles to the Tank....but thats a different story.

Are you doing it from full tank to full tank and what actual mpg are you getting? Fuel gauges are incredibly inaccurate.

You've had a head gasket change. Check the timing, a tooth or two out will cause issues.

If the management system is happy with the exhaust readings its not overfuelling, so an air leak is a possibility. Again common after a head gasket change.

Cheers

Yeah on a full tank I can do roughly 100-130 miles. And I do that all the time . I don't have a clue what the issue might be

Yes mate I try to drive normally but still the mpg is crap.

Btw when the car was running for about 20min it reached 84 degrees and didn't want to go higher ? Don't know why ?

Damn. What's the problem then. Now it's doing 22mpg and that is so poor.
