Disaster stroke. I went my car to the garage because there was a weird sound on the rear wheel drivers side. The mechanic told me is the rear suspension arm also told me that the other side is ready to go plus he found that both ball joint in fron are all rusted. The cost for all that is £450 :bang: :yuck:

WHAT!!! £450!!!!
theres nothing wrong with the ball joints if there just rusty anyway
id get another quote from a different garage

Can't just be the rear arm.. must be the pivot bushes or something. Shouldn't be expencive.

Lower arm ball joints (get them with a lower arm?) shouldn't cost much either.

EDIT:

The garage wasn't sponsored by Egg was it?

"Oh dear. Oh Dear. It looks like a car thats been driven, by a boy racer" :D

HAHA top ad!

I just had to put new bearings on my rear wheels because they were making a noise? £40 a side because they come with ther own hub. It solved the problem tho.
Matt

Thanks guys for your replys
The thing is that if hold the rear wheels and shake them they shake like they are no bolts. I dont know if you can make sense but i cant explain it better.
I am taking the car tommorow for the changes anyway . Its a price that i will have to pay. Has anyone got an exhaust? I need something louder that the standard. Or even better does anyone wants an Uno for £200 ono?

trust me mate... it wont be the arms.. not for wobbling wheels and funny noises. ital be the hubs.. always is everytime as the cinq ones dont last very long at best :)

drop it round this weekend or thurs (i have the day off) and ill have a look for you. they are £40 a hub from fiat and £20 give or take from some other places if you dont mind non fiat parts.

Ill fit em for you :p... done them atleast 5 times on my black cinq. garages are such pain in the arses. they probably know its the hub but are telling you its the arm as replacing the arm will mean a new hub anyway but they can charge you for a whole new arm because you dont know better.. plus an arm takes loads more labour as they will need to bleed the braking system too. and will probably insist on fitting a new handbrake cable at the same time...

Thank you Chris but It is sorted the mechanic saw me the parts that took off and they were all rustly specialy the front ball joints. Thank you again it is such a nice feeling to have people that you havent spoke before to offer their help so easy. Thanks guys i think this is the best forum with the best people ever. Chris what do you drive now? I remember when i came down to yours you had the cinq why did you sell it? I have an Uno if you are intrested for sale
