Im after some much needed advice.

Currently got a 1.2 16v engine into the sei and looking at using the IAW18FD5Z,

at present i currently have the Dreaded MICRO ECU IAW59F.M7.

Ive heard many different ways I.e keep the Micro ECU.
Use 1.2 16v mk1 punto ecu.
go aftermarket, etc etc ...........

but i have the loom and ECU from a MK1 16v punto, so this is what i want to do...

Use the In car loom from the Sei and use the mk1 punto engine loom and ECU.

ive tried wiring it up as best i can but if im honest i could do with some much needed advice.

I have the same upgrade.
I was using a Seicento mk1 with a swap engine + ecu from Punto 16v mk1.
The last year, I wanted to upgrade to the 1.4 16v and I found a Grande Punto broken.

I have bought only the engine and wiring but no Ecu.

So I have prepared the engine to place it on Seicento bay in place of the 1.2 and it's really the same block and top head.

I have made the first start few days ago using the 1.2 16v wiring + ecu, with 200cc fuel injector as the 1.2 is using (to be noted the 1.4 uses 115cc !!!) and it works well !

Of course I have adapted the mecanic throttle body on the plastic inlet pipe of this 1.4. (the original is electrical command)


If you are at ease with wiring, you can do you proper thread but if not as me, you can choose the facility and do the same.
But sure you will have information missed : knock signal, camshaft adjusting as I have on mine (only from GP as I found after buying ...)
