I just done gbox oil change I used a 8mm on the drain bolt I front of the rear gbox mount and 10or12mm hex socket for leveler

Good looking little Sei (y)

As you say, I'm sure your to-do list will grow. My list grew with some rapidity and continues to do so.
The only thing I'd highly recommend is checking the condition of the brake pipes, fronts in particular. Mine went from rusty to "ah, I seem to have no brakes" in short order.
Fantastic fun cars though and welcome to the forum.
:slayer:

2" diameter! who's a big boy then :D
If you intend to keep the car then how about a cybox stainless exhaust? Designed for a SPI but not too difficult to get it to fit a MPI
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FIAT-SEIC...496?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item5ad34be6c8
blu73 recons they're well made & good value for money -he made an offer & got £15 knocked off the price (y)

Well what can i say ;)

Thanks ukmh She is a looker :D

Yea its grown again by a £175 stainless exhaust system all thanks to Ouby :p ~(although that is a want not a need)

Yea i see how going from having breaks too not having them could cause a 'slight' problem  will squeeze it in this easter week planning on getting (fingers crossed) half yes HALF of my to-do list done (y)

Thanks again for the recommendation and the warm welcome :)

Well today I decided to replace the bulbs in the front fogs and when i took them off I found out the fog light casing had oxidized a lot more than I thought and has condensation in them :(

Washed the fogs out and left them to dry then had a look to see if i could put a bit of silicon seal in and ended up pulling them apart lol :bang: i dont no my own strength (although it didn't take much)

As this is only a quick fix going to go and get some new ones on thursday from a fiat dealership as I cant find em on the internet (might be missing something) if anyone knows what type mine are please dont hesertate to tell me (y) so yea silicon sealed and ready to put back on :)

Bita-silicon_zpsklwm1ahd.jpg

Got back in the car and tested them, no condensation and they actually work so its all good :)

I then checked the head lights, tried to adjust them and only one would move ...

ON TO JOB 2 !:slayer:

Popped the hood  and un-screwed the bolts holding it onto the chassis and pulled the headlight out only to find this thing wedged between the lamp and the casing:

WTF_zpsw4e0km14.jpg

Hummmm  pulled it out only to find it was barely holding the light in place (what have i brought) Then proceeded to pry the casing off and then i came to these little yellow pain in the a**se's :

Fing-anoying-clip_zpsbwpkp0ce.jpg

After A LOT of faffing, swearing and cutting my hand i went in for a bru as you do :p and came back to my neighbors cat (i like to call pud) that came to tell me get a grip and get it done (y) to which I got back to it and after another 20 mins got it off ... ughhh

Pud the cat

When i finally got the dam thing off I tipped it up side down to get the water out (and sand ) and it started to rattle a lot, shuck it a bit and about 7 white plastic teeth fell out

Plastic-Teeth_zpsz4el6tj5.jpg

When I actually gave it some thought i realized it could be the teeth that help adjust the light beam's height

so will need to order a new headlight casing and also want some Xenon super white h4 bulbs :) for now i'm just going to clean them up, put it all back together and find a better way to hold the light in place for now:)

Again
Do i get paid as your official researcher? :D

Fog-lights: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fiat-Seic...+Make:Fiat|Model:Seicento&hash=item43c5ba5cfb
Eurocarparts also do them for £18.59 & have cheap indicators.
Strange thing is Owners Manual seems to shows the adjuster screw on the outer side for non Sportings but the inner side for Sportings

Headlights: another common fault -2nd hand units are normally the same.... been there, eat the pie etc. etc.
http://www.carparts-tuning.co.uk/Li...ght-right-Fiat-Seicento-Typ-187-Yr-98-07.html
Non-genuine again, but hey ho you still need plenty of spare cash left over to buy that exhaust :D

Hopefully someone will come up with cheaper links but those are the best i can find in a hurry.

Cats: Stop borrowing the neighbours & get your own you tight sod :p

Everybody who owns a Fiat needs a cat.... stress relief for when something breaks or falls off :bang:

Haha :D well if you called getting paid in sarcasm, humerus whit and a big thanks then yes you get paid (y)

Yea been on both of those items the fogs don't seem to have the bracket around the them so haven't a clue on that front, don't no if i should just risk it n see if they fit  Ahhhh

With the headlights the motors are electric powered, not manual and look slightly different i'm guessing you get that with non-genuine :( whaaat you got a pie with your fault ??? where was mine

Bugger! I was in a hurry
....Why do they list parts as 1998-on when Fiat changed the design of both sets of lights in 2000.
Correct part number for (later) fogs is 51741365 & 51741364
Headlights are 46511346 & 46511352

The eyes also pop out on small children when you hug them hard enough -for some reason the powers that be frown upon such actions.

Its an mpi engine. All seis after the year 2000 had the mpi engine along with the new bumper. Its not a bad engine ive got both an spi sporting and mpi s but with sporting bumpers and soon ill be dropping a 1242 8v in to the mpi

Had a look at the pics online at the manual/elec adjusters which got me into reading some old posts-

According to blu73....
"i would also say the headlights are same - the adjuster part twists out and you can fit an electric one or a manual one."

& James who has broken one or two (thousand!) Seicento's in his time posted this....
"There is no difference between the headlights.... sometimes there is a piece of trim attached to the bottom but this is removed by three screws
The later post 2000 cars have different indicators which go with the different bumpers, but the headlight is the same."

So it seems it might be worth taking a risk & buying one, but it's your choice.
Pretty sure the same thing would apply to your frog-lights (semi-aquatic version of a fog-light). Some people just replaced them with non-Fiat aftermarket lights of the same size because of the silly cost of replacing them.

They like to catch you out by putting parts up that are a lie  Thanks for the item codes Ouby(y)

Yes i could go into a park and randomly start squeezing the living daylights out of kids but i think i will pass might be looking at a long time in prison  brought my self a squeegee cow though :D just grab and squeeze my cow next time i find things that have been bodged or are broken lol (y)

Yea might just take the risk and buy the drivers side headlight n pop in the electric adjuster :D and yea i'm betting they will cost a bomb at fiat gona see what they are priced at and then decide whether to get aftermarket or genuine frog lights (i'm sure i will probs go for the aftermarkets) ;)

Thanks again Ouby for scouring the furthest reaches of the internet for me (y)

I give the owners who had this car last a very sarcastic round of applause  On the way back from Chester Zoo cuz we cool like that  got into traffic as we hit Stockport that plus a very hot day, low and behold that lovely overheated light came on on my dash :bang:

A quick swerve to the left, engine off, bonnet up and a big puff off scolding hot steam nice (y)

About 2 hours later there was still traffic non-stop ( and i mean non-stop not a single break and a lot of trucks getting way too close lol) luckily we had a bottle of water to top up the water as it looked like a geyser had exploded in there.

Started it up no problem and finally got it home it doesn't look or sound like the over heat did any damage so started looking at the radiator fan as we didn't hear it kick in at all  Had the car running and the fan would come on and off but it would be whirring up fast then die down and after a certain point it would click and not come on so i have brought a new Radiator cooling fan motor in hope that it is that. Also checked the temp sensor and that works fine.

I'm a taking a long shot but i'm guessing its had this fault before as the pipes that bleed the coolant were broken and replaced with a bodge so there was an attempted fix and when that didn't work they sold it on  don't no lol very sketchy guess :D

So waiting for the part and will see if that's a fix or back to the drawing board (y)

All seis overheat mines just spat the head gasket too ..I'd advice wiring a temp gauge in and a fan on a secondary override switch
