Matrix leaking? Any smells in the car, eg antifreeze type smells?

Check thermostat gasket, water pump is another place to look. Any fluid coming out of the timing belt cover?

No smells In the car were is therm gasket. The leak is defo on the time ing side as I look up from filter it seems dry on block

Timing cover side, it won't be the thermostat. That's engine side of you're top hose to the rad.
Water pump would be my first thought, you will need to take the timing cover off to confirm.

I assume the expansion bottle is in good nick, Italian cars have a tendency to to split them, my cinq did it and my alfa too. Check also the bleed point for the rad, it is a little plastic tap deely on the end of a 8mm hose. This goes through the inner wing down by you're headlight and onto the top of you're rad. But it is behind the inner arch liner. I doubt it is that. Sounds water pumpy to me.
Don't leave it too long before you do it, as hot coolant on the timing belt will bugger it up, and it will snap.

Hmm you may be right looks like everything needs to come off to invests gate new pump is 16£ but timeing kit is 35 may be worth doing it myself? How do I hold the cam ? Assuming it's single cam

Well iv orderd a timeing belt kit and water pump from fiat so genuine item. Also going to replace fan belt all came to 52.50£

Just thinking if you kept it all in one thread, we can get a better idea of diagnosing any issues you may have. Can see the history of anything you've done or any issues that you've had.
Just a thought :)

Genuine cheaper parts are available from - https://www.shop4parts.co.uk/
Plus if you donate to the FiatFoum you can get a discount code for 10% off.

Generally pattern parts are fine, no need to go genuine though, just trying to save you money.
Are you sure the leak is coolant, have you tasted it? Coolant is sweet. Sprinkle a little talcum powder on the block, then any fresh leaks will leave streaks in the talc and you can trace them back. Saves going all gung-ho and changing more parts and spending money when you might not have to.
