First of all i would like to thank you guys for this very nice community.

Second, I have one Sei 899cc and today i noticed that my headlights adjusters are not working. I've tried to understand if they are the electrical ones but the only thing that i found was some silicon tubes going from the motors to the inside of my car (somewhere) so i have some questions here. 1) These are working with something like a fluid? 2) can i fix them without spending tons of money and keep those?

I hope there is a way to fix them without buying new ones.

I have just bought a 1998 Seicento with the same problem. My wife unfortunately had to drive it home in the dark with only a few of metres in front of the car illuminated.

The car also has those hydraulic headlight adjusters. When I first saw the pipes I thought "No, they can't be hydraulic - although it is a Fiat", but I bought a Haynes Cinquecento manual, and sure enough, they are

The rods on the "motors" are fully retracted and have pulled out of the plastic sockets on the light assemblies. Mr Haynes says the system is sealed, and the whole assembly must be replaced.

On checking suppliers here I find that both hydraulically and electrically adjusted headlamp units are available, with and without electric adjusters, but only without hydraulic adjusters. The fitting for the adjuster seems to be different for the two types.

If I can't fix them so that I can adjust them manually I will consider replacing both light assemblies, complete with electric adjusters. I have found the appropriate switches on Ebay, but not the adjusters. Also, I don't know how they are connected, and don't have the necessary connectors for the adjusters.
