So whats better to have the Vannaken turbo kit or the Novitec conversion???

I weighing up options, any suggestions?

I think U get a bigger BHP and more torque with the novitec 1 but its apparently makes the car very unreliable.
The Vannarken is suppose to be more reliable and will make a big diference but wait and c wot other people on here say

Vanaaken's kit doesn't require any mods to the engine and uses a low pressure turbo and a second injector to keep those extra horsies running. So that means no specialised low-compression pistons, gasket or any other engine internals. A mate of mine has one and it knocked is socks off!!

they usedto do a more powerful one complete with intercooler, allowing for a higher boost, but they stopped production because of relaibility. I have spoken to them about modifying the kit they do now, and it should be possible. But with 85-90bhp, a sei or cinq would still fly. Having my kit fitted mid next year.

I would go for a van aaken as It looks to be the more relaible kit, but i suggest u get saving! sounds pretty pricey to me! Mind u would be nice if u could get that low pressure dump valve! That cracking whip sound would be nice!

Get the Novitec 118hp 1242 turbo kit, a snip at £3k [:0]

The Novitec 101bhp turbo conversion cost £1665, and the figures are:

8.4 secs 0-60
189 km/h (which is 117.44mph)

Although i think they stopped this conversion from 11/00

Ive got a brand new CINQU E CENTO and i'll give u the key

I have experience with Novitec convesion and I can say that it's very good and reliable. The main problem is the g'box which is not enough strong for so much torque. The real accelerations are much better than 8,4 s (in CC it was around 7,3 s).

Cinq Sporting - and yes, its broom yellow!

Saw 'Watchdog' once where 2 cars hit head-on on a country road at night in extremely bad weather. Both cars at the speed limit, no-one in the wrong. Insurance company of both drivers said;

"it was totally unavoidable due to extremely poor weather conditions"

Both complained to Watchdog, but as far as i know, neither paid out [:0]

lets face it the fuzz only hand out speeding tickets, producers and on spot £30-60 fines now.
we dont live in the USA, there not going to check the engine over when we get pulled, for "not signaling right" at 3am.
the only time the engine will be check is if u ave a big smash.

i probably would insure the car wiv the turbo but i wouldnt like it.

mic neale i hate to burst your bubble but the plod do check engines,maybe more in citys but ive been pulled in quite a few modded motors and had them right under the bonnet checking.ok if you go for the 1200 over the 1100 it would take a clued up copper to know but when you slap on a turbo etc then its obvious.the way i work it if im 3rd party f&t then i tell the insurance nuthin if im fully comp as i am now (8 years NCD) then i tell them everything cos when you add up all your mods and something happens the money for a standard cinq aint gonna buy u nufink[!]sorry im all doom and gloom im a happy person usually
