After months of waiting i've finally taken the plunge into the 1242cc bracket, quite impressed so far, huge difference at lower revs but quite dissapointing once I get over 5000, anyone else find the same? Anyone know how this could be improved? The garage suggested a Punto 16v gearbox, any thoughts??

Change up a gear, more torques is better than more horses.

What throttle body are you running?

What exhaust are you running?

At the moment everything on the car remains standard bar the punto engine and lowering spings....

Would consider the exhaust upgrade but only if i knew you wouldn't hear it a mile away, dont want a dustbin haning out the back of the car!

Does anyone have any idea of what differance the punto gearbox would make? Anyone had this done and noticed an improvement?

Depends what 'box you get. Some are lower geared.

You could go for a subtle exhaust such as a Supersprint and a 40mm or 32mm throttle body.
