I'd be happy with that - adding a good chunk of extra torque there (y)

A cam and some head and TB work will help with the bhp. :)

well ive been thinking of the punto 75 mpi head and trying to get one from a scrappers and bolt that bad boy on, but will i need the punto ecu?? or will i be ok with my old ecu as i think they are different.

when it comes to throttle body mods im capable but unsure as to wot to do?

will be having a remap afterwards anyway cus think its running bit lean at minute as well :(

That torque figure has to be wrong, you sure it's not 66.9? Or have they quoted NM?

:yeahthat:

99.6nm is 73.45lb/ft

Either way, an impressive increase, you'll notice the difference when your on the motorway :D

In my humble opinion, more torques are more usefull in the real world than more horses.

Cheers

Good point. Don't drive everywhere at 5-6K rpm do you?

The MPI has a milder cam than the SPI, if I've not been led up the garden path.
A Punto 75 cam or a good aftermarket one should see more gains, as the current one won't really give a lot of power at big revs.

Only in the winter and on cold mornings (y) , all other times it stays firmly in the red :D ;)

I'd prefer more torque, so I woudn't need to change as much gear on motorways.....

When I first read how much tourqe you'd got I was amazed. Then I looked a bit harder and it all became clear :) Still good stats, a new head and cam should make it even better.

A little aside, i have a standard exhuast on my cinq and when I blip the throttle I can hear the air struggling to escape then when it does it kind of makes a "fuff" noise, as if a block of the air has just escaped. Is this due to the resistance in the exhuast system? Is it a problem?

Edit: Dont mean to hijack...

hijacker!!! grrr lol

my bad, i got figures wrong way round.......

and scratch the head questions.....i got a punto 75 mpi ENGINE to get at weekend WWWOOOOOOHHOOOOOO 1242 power here i come!!!!

oh yeahm and it gets taken to bout 6k all the time :D

hi all

Yes, it will give a slight increase in performance, as its 32mm not 30mm. Trickers conversion is preferred because it increases the size to a massive 40mm :D
