So has a uno 1.4 turbo conversion into a cinq been done b4? would really be interested in the results of such an experiment

well im poor lol so probs keep mine till it dies (or till i do [:0]) but if i get chance (and the money!) id like to get a sporting and then go for the engine swap

I've had mine since May, and it's failed MOT is costing a fortune so i reckon another year at least to get my money's worth. Besides that I love the looks it get and would miss it (that's girls for you!).

Next car? Um, I'd like a yellow Stilo, with the kit and top spec engine, that'd be nice

keeping mine until i can afford to run a mark 3 golf, I can afford to buy it now but the insurance and more petrol would shaft me.

I've bought mine new in '97 and it has 80tkm (about 50'miles) on it.
As with new cars tend to be so expensive (I really like the new Mini Cooper) I'll keep driving it for another 2 years or so. Then another one can have a cheap car with nice power (1242ccm) and good handling qualities (H&R Springs and 195/45-14) that fits into every parking spot.

I want a Mini Cooper S!

Beautiful cars - VW's.

I had my Cinq Sporting Abarth from May 1999 to March 2003. I bought the car for £5k, spent about £5k on it and sold it for £1.5k. I had nothing but problems with the Cinq the last year I owned it, forcing me to literally 'let it go' for £1.5k. Quite a bargin cos it was at Max Live 2001 and in Fast Car in 2001. Apparantly the guy I sold it to crashed it within a couple of months of owning it.

A bit upsetting but now I drive a VW Polo GTi, 125bhp, 0-60 in 8.3 seconds and (touch wood) reliable.
