My Cinq is losing water, but does not appear to have any leaks, I fill it up and after a couple of days the water is down to zero.

Anyone know what the problem is ?

Someone said it may be the heating matrix, if it is how do I fix it.

Likely to be just a leak then rather than head gasket problems. Is your fan coming on ok when the temp hits roughly 90?

Check the condition of the radiator and water pump. if they're shot they can spill water out rather quickly. Make sure all the pipe-work is connected up and in good condition.

Also, try bleeding the system (by the bleed screw at the back of the bay (next to the battery) and the one behind the drivers side headlight) when the system is hot to expell any air.

That should eliminate any small causes for water loss :)

Well If it helps...It might be worth running it till the temp reaches at least 100 deg C (It will do, mine did fine in traffic yesterday) then watch it and see if it goes any higher.

The rise between 100 and 110 degrees will be fast. Thats usually when (if any) weaknesses show up IME.

My 899cc was similar, we took it down a country lane thrash one evening and the temp reached 130 deg C. I knew the rad had a leak, but not the 2L out in 1 min that I actually had. If the rad is slightly holed, the system will lose water very quickly as it gets warmer as the excess air pressure forces it out (I think)
